About
Ever Peng is an Eindhoven-based designer, maker, cultural producer, and DJ. They are currently studying at Design Academy Eindhoven, exploring and honing their resarch and design processes, while investigating ways of engaging with materials. While they have an obvious affinity to metal as a physical material, their approach to materials often comprises appropriating and challenging technologies/tools (kinetic mechanisms, hydraulic press, vocal processing, car building techniques, etc). They are drawn to the body—as a topic, tool, container—which often returns in their practice as talking through the body, transforming the body, or challenging the notion of the natural body. Their projects often stay close to their identity, using moments of dissonance as a an opportunity to disrupt, and their experience as a catalyst to challenging fights beyond their own. Ever continues to explore ways to critically engage with design and art, and position and orient themselves in relation to their work—experimenting with different proximities and visibilities.
